CAS Christmas Card

I made this card using Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes and Everyday Sentiment Banners, W Plus 9 Hand Lettered Holidays stamps and dies and My Favorite Things Bold Diagonals background stamp.

I stamped the background to begin with VersaFine Satin Red ink and whilst it dried I die cut the snowflake and the Merry word.  I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and die cut it with the banner die.  I used a length of gold glitter tape to create a ribbon loop and then stacked the other elements on top with foam tape to add some dimension between the layers. To finish I die cut the background panel and added it to a top folding card base.  I then attached the stacked elements and finally I added glossy accents to the Merry die cut.

Warm Wishes Christmas Card

This card was made using Avery Elle Warm Wishes stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn Merry Messages, Everyday Sentiment Banner dies and stitched Journalling Card die, Stampin’ Up  Merry Medley stamp, Hero Arts embossing powder and ink and finally Bazzill cardstock.

I began by stamping the background stamp in white pigment ink and set it aside to dry while I stamped the images and simply coloured them with Copic markers.  I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and then die cut all the elements.  I assembled the scene using foam tape in places for dimension and  added a gold glitter strip behind the sentiment banner and then assembled the finished card.

A One Layer CAS Christmas Card

The above card was made using Neat & Tangled Winter Wishes stamps, Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Antique Linen, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet, masking paper and Bazzill cardstock.

I began by creating the mask.  I die cut a circle and then masked off the bottom of the circle to allow me to ink a semi circle background using distress inks.  I then stamped the images and sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.  I finally added snowflakes with white pigment ink.

Merry & Bright - CAS Christmas Card

A simple, easily replicated CAS Christmas card that was inspired by the Metallic challenge at Less Is More .

I used Avery Elle Noel dies, Lawn Fawn Merry Messages stamps, Everyday Sentiment Banners dies, Alpaca Bazzill cardstock and Hero Arts Copper embossing powder.

I die cut the snowflake first and then heat embossed it several times with the copper powder.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white and then die cut with the banner.  I attached the 2 elements together with foam tape and adhered it to the card base with a little more foam tape to create dimension.

Have a Blast - MFT Space Explorer

It has been in excess of 2 years since I last blogged due to health problems.  I am hoping it won’t be another 2 before my next post!

This card was made using My Favorite Things - Space Explorer stamps and dies, Inside & Outside Stitched Circle Stax, Copic Sketch Markers, Bazzill cardstock and Studio Calico Little Stars.

I began by cutting most of a circle from the white card base front, I then added a watercolour piece I created some time ago to the back.  I then stamped, coloured and die cut the image and added foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in Hero Arts white embossing powder to the black strip.  I then assembled the card front and added a light layer of Wink of Stella to small areas.

Since taking the photograph I added Glossy Accents to the balloons.

Miss You Card 2

This card was made using My Favorite Things Dainty Scallop Cover-Up, Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves, Lil Inker Stitched Rectangles, MFT Springtime Blooms, Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn Twisted Citron and Crushed Olive and  Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Mix.

I began by inking a scrap of card with the Twisted Citron and then die cut the leaves.  I then added the other 2 inks to the tips and edges of each leaf.  Next, I die cut the scallop background and the rectangle frame.  I adhered the scallop background behind the frame and then trimmed the excess off.  I attached it to the card base with foam tape and then heat embossed the sentiment and added it.  Finally I added sequins to finish off.

I Just Miss You Card

To make this card I used My Favorite Things Springtime Blooms, Simon Says Stamp Wide Stripe Background stamp, MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax, Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners,  Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Mix and Wink Of Stella in Clear.

I first of all stamped the background onto a top folding card base with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  While this dried I stamped and coloured the flower.  I then die cut the soft blue layer and adhered the flower with foam tape.  I heat embossed the sentiment and die cut it.  I added this over the flower stem using foam tape again.  I then added a light layer of Wink of Stella and finished with a few sequins.

I am adding this card to the Less Is More - 325 challenge.
